Robert Boyle Robert Boyle was a famous philosopher, chemist, physicist, inventor, and scientist. This magnificent man was born on January 25th, 1627. He was born in Munster, Ireland, so he is of Irish descent. Robert Boyle was the fourteenth child of Richard Boyle. He was the seventh son, so he had seven sisters as well. As a child, Robert Boyle was fluent in many languages including: Latin, French, and Greek. When Boyle was nine days old, he faced the vitriolic loss of his mother. Robert Boyle was sent to England, to the Eton College. Boyle remained in that location for three years, and because left wing for Italy in 1641 with a French tutor. Boyle incapacitated his father in 1643, and decided to return to England in 1644, when Boyle was scarce seventeen years old. In 1647, Boyle engaged Robert Hooke as his assistant. together they created a in truth ingenious piece of work. In 1659, it was completed; Boyle and Hooke had created an air pump. But, it was claimed to already have been invented, or the view had been stolen by Boyle and Hooke. Because of this, Boyle is most recognized for Boyles Law. Boyle remained there for 23 years, which was mediocre until his expected death. In 1689, Boyles health started to fail. On December 31st, 1691, Robert Boyle died in London, England. This was just one week afterwards his sisters death. though Boyle is claimed to have invented the air pump, there are disclaimers.
